Software

From Plotter File to G-Code

Traditional milling machines required specialist CAD/CAM skills to generate G-code. Carvmaster changes this. Simply load a 2D plotter file from a USB drive, and the system automatically detects letters, cleans the geometry, closes contours, and generates a precise V-carve toolpath. No external CAD is needed.

Built-in Macros

Everyday operations are handled by ready-to-use macros. Whether it’s V-carved lettering, hole patterns, chamfering, countersinking, or quick service cycles, the machine automates the process. This means operators can focus on production, not programming.

Guided Interface

A clear, step-by-step interface leads the operator through material selection, depth settings, tool choice, and line width. Once the parameters are confirmed, a simulation preview ensures everything is correct before the job begins.

Stone-First Construction

Unlike soft-material CNCs, Carvmaster is built from the ground up for stone. A monolithic, high-damping cast frame maintains geometry under load and over time. The gantry and table form a rigid assembly, handling heavy cutting forces without deflection.

Precision Guidance

Each axis runs on dual linear guides. Their wide spacing increases torsional stiffness and keeps perfect squareness, even with heavier tools and deeper passes. The Y-axis gantry is driven and guided on both sides, eliminating racking and ensuring parallel motion.

Power and Control

Motion is delivered through trapezoidal rack drives on X and Y for speed and load capacity, and a precision ballscrew on Z for vertical accuracy. Full closed-loop servo motors provide high torque, smooth motion, and fast rapids while staying stable under heavy loads.

Spindle and Cooling

A 7.5 kW spindle holds speed under demanding stone-cutting conditions. Its closed-loop liquid cooling system stabilizes temperature, reduces noise, and extends bearing life, ensuring consistently smooth and accurate V-walls.

Reliability and Accuracy

Centralized automatic lubrication and sealed covers protect moving components from slurry and dust. The machine achieves repeatable accuracy to 0.01 mm in typical lettering jobs, delivering clean edges, consistent depths, and predictable results batch after batch.

Integration with Vectric Aspire

ABRA officially collaborates with Vectric Aspire. Our machine is listed in their device database, and a dedicated post-processor guarantees full toolpath compatibility. Vectric Aspire is one of the most respected and widely supported programs for CNC milling. It comes with:

Connectivity & Workflow Ergonomics

Besides USB import, Vectric Aspire allows you to connect a computer workstation to ABRA Carvmaster via Ethernet:
